General Description of Project: Notice is hereby given that the City of Sherwood, Arkansas is soliciting sealed Request for Qualifications (RFQ's) from qualified and experienced contractors for Disaster Debris Removal Services to be utilized in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. The scope of services may include, but is not limited to: debris clearance, collection, removal, reduction, hauling, and disposal of disaster-related debris; management of Temporary Debris Storage and Reduction Sites (TDSRS); and all associated labor, equipment, supervision, and documentation necessary to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Due to lightning in the area, the Splashpad is currently closed.
Both Fairway and Thornhill Pools are on a thunder break and conditions are being monitored.
The air conditioning upstairs and in the gym is out at the Bill Harmon Recreation Center.
Though they are not closed, patrons are urged to use caution if utilizing the facility in this heat. Updates regarding the air conditioning upstairs and in the gym will be made as soon as we have them.

If conditions improve this afternoon, the Splash Pad may reopen, and we will provide an update. As of 11:50 a.m., the forecast indicates the weather is expected to clear around 2 p.m.

The City would like to inform residents that traffic signal upgrades are scheduled for Thursday at the intersection of Highway 107 and Oakdale/Brockington Road.
Motorists should expect intermittent traffic delays while crews complete the improvements. Please use caution when traveling through the area, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time if possible.
These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic operations and safety for drivers throughout the community.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this work is being completed. Updates will be provided if the schedule changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
