The Parks and Recreation department is looking for a few more players to complete the leagues for this year. They are needing as follows:

Baseball:
3 & 4 year olds - 7 more players
6u T-ball - 5 more players
8u - 9 more players
10u - 2 more players
12u - 5 more players
15u - 2 more players.

Softball:
6u - 6 more players
16u - 7 more players

Blood Drive
Celebrate the season at Sherwood’s Winter Fest! The day kicks off at 11 a.m. with the 50th Annual Sherwood Christmas Parade, featuring the theme "Christmas around the World."

After the parade, join the festivities at City Hall Park where you can enjoy a Christmas Market with gifts and crafts, a food truck park, and free family activities like carousel rides, polar express train, and photos with Santa.
Live performances will take place throughout the day, leading up to the lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree and a headliner concert by BAD HABiT.

City offices are closed Monday, September 1 for Labor Day. The Thornhill Pool and Splash Pad will be open (last day of the season).

GARBAGE SCHEDULE
Garbage routes for Monday, Sept. 1, will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Tuesday through Friday garbage routes will remain on schedule. This is not a regularly scheduled recycling week.

Come out to Thornhill Pool on August 30 for an unforgettable sunset movie at the Thornhill Pool! Bring your inflatable floats as we screen Shrek. Please note: Individual pool floats only. NO multi-person or oversized floats such as floating mattresses, islands, beds, etc. Food is allowed in the pool area, but not in the water. Please be courteous and clean up after yourself. Space is limited; first come, first served. The pool will close at 4 pm to prepare for movie night at 8 pm. Gates reopen at 7:30 pm. Free admission.
