SHERWOOD, AR, September 28, 2026 —The City of Sherwood is pleased to announce that Slick City Action Park is coming to Sherwood, Arkansas. Slick City Action Park will be a 36,000-square-foot indoor action park located at 5430 Landers Road in Sherwood, Arkansas, with plans to open in Summer 2027.

Sherwood Mayor Mary Jo Heye-Townsell said she and Tammy Tompkins, Sherwood Economic Development Coordinator, have been working on this project for several months.

The Mayor added, “Slick City will offer families a fun, active and engaging place to spend time together, along with some much-needed indoor relief from the Arkansas' heat, cold, rain and humidity.”

Tompkins suggests that in order to get a feel for the attractions of the park, one should do a Google search of “Slick City Drone Video”.

The Sherwood park is being developed by life-long Arkansans, Southfork Family Entertainment Center LLC. Southfork President Brian Stahl said that once the doors open, “We plan to bring a whole new kind of entertainment action to Central Arkansas”.

Stahl added "Beyond the slides and attractions, we’re especially excited to create what we believe will be one of the most unique birthday party and group-event destinations in the state.”

Mayor Mary Jo estimates the park will create at least 100 full- and part-time jobs, with a strong focus on hiring people from the local community.

For many young team members, Slick City will be their first “real” job.

Stahl added, "We’re incredibly excited about the opportunity to provide a fun and unique environment for that employment transition.

"More importantly, our hope is that many of those team members won’t simply work at Slick City - they’ll grow with us. We want to provide opportunities to develop leadership, customer service, teamwork and business skills, advance within the park, and the greater Slick City network.”

At the end of 2026, there will be approximately 65 Slick City Action Parks open, both in the United States and globally.

Stahl said, “We still have plenty of work ahead of us before we open in the Summer of 2027, but we’re thrilled to be bringing Slick City to Sherwood and are extremely grateful for the excitement and support we’ve already received from the community."
