Council Member - Ward 4/Position 2
- Elected in November of 2024
- Sworn in January 5, 2025
Council Member Treat has called Sherwood home for 35 years. She attended Oakbrooke Elementary School and Sylvan Hills Junior High School and graduated as the class President from Sylvan Hills High School in 2001.
In 2003, just a few years after graduating, Treat had two significant milestones: she married her high school sweetheart, Noah, and began her career in the insurance industry. She focused on the Medicare market and quickly recognized it as the niche she was passionate about serving.
She started Treat Insurance Agency in 2008 with a lot of ambition and little resources. She drove the state of Arkansas selling insurance out of her car. Over the past 17 years, she has built one of the most sought-after Medicare agencies in the state. The business is not only woman-owned but also woman-run. Treat Insurance Agency employs five women today and serves thousands of clients in nine states.
Treat’s professional accolades include being recognized in Little Rock Soirée Magazine as Best Insurance Agent for 4 years running, Little Rock Soirée Magazine’s 2024 Women in Business, and Arkansas Money & Politics’ 2024 Top 100 Professionals in Arkansas. In addition to running her insurance agency, Treat and her husband, Noah, have established two other businesses: Noah Treat Construction, which specializes in custom homebuilding, and NoMo Properties, which specializes in residential rentals.
Treat is also deeply committed to her community. In 2024, she volunteered hundreds of hours for the Act4Sherwood campaign, where she and many dedicated volunteers worked diligently to overturn an outdated law in Sherwood that had kept the northern part of the city commercially undeveloped and economically struggling. After six months of canvassing and knocking on doors, the volunteers successfully gathered over 4,000 signatures to place this initiative on the ballot. On election day, November 5, 2024, the initiative passed with a resounding majority. Inspired by her involvement in this movement, Treat decided to run for City Council.
Treat and her husband have been married for 21 years. They are building their dream home in the heart of Sherwood and plan to move in by August 2025. They have four dogs—Murphy, George, Tootie, and Walker—and one cat, Molly.
Treat’s roots in Sherwood run deep. A true local, she is excited to serve the city that raised her, educated her, supported her and her husband’s businesses, and passionately backed her campaign.
