Attention City of Sherwood Residents: Storm Tree Removal Info 🌳
If you've experienced tree damage from recent storms, here are the steps to handle it:
1. Fallen Tree: If a tree has fallen, please contact a professional tree service. The tree service must haul away the entire tree, including all limbs and debris. No remains of the tree should be left for the city to pick up.
If you are removing a tree yourself, you can take it to American Composting at 11911 Faulkner Lake Rd for proper disposal.
2. Limbs & Yard Waste: If you have limbs or other yard waste (not from tree removal), here are the guidelines for pickup:
- Items too large for your cart will be picked up weekly, the day after your household garbage.
- Limbs must be no longer than 8 feet long or 8 inches in diameter.
- No stumps, logs, remodeling materials, paint, or rocks will be accepted.
Please note: The city does not have the manpower or equipment to remove fallen trees.
