ABOUT US
Sherwood Tennis Center is a public tennis facility that caters to both competitive and recreational tennis players of all ages and skill levels. Built in 2020, STC has six outdoor lighted post tension concrete tennis courts, and an indoor pro shop with restrooms. Located next to Sylvan Hills High School, it offers easy access for juniors and adults alike.
DIRECTOR OF TENNIS
Gary Jones has been hired as the Director of Tennis as of February 1, 2025. Gary has spent the past 36 years teaching tennis at various clubs around Arkansas, including Otter Creek Racquet Club (1994-2004), and the Jonesboro Country Club (2005-2025). Gary has been named Tennis Professional of the Year three times by the Arkansas Tennis Association, once by the United States Professional Tennis Association, and once by the Southern Tennis Association. He has also been on the board directors of the ATA for the past twelve years, including two years as its president (2021-2022). But best of all, Gary was raised in Sherwood and went to Sylvan Hills High School, graduating in 1981. His dream has always been to come back to Sherwood and help the tennis community any way he can!

JUNIOR TENNIS CLINICS
Adult Court Fee: Non-Prime Time $10/90 minutes; Prime Time $12/90 minutes; Ball Machine: Free to use with any court rental.
Junior Court Fees: Juniors 18 years old and younger cannot reserve courts. However, they can play on any open court, at any time, for no cost. If they want to reserve a court then the fees will be the same as adults.
Online Reservations
Click HERE to access our new online tennis court reservation system. In order to reserve courts online, you will need to reach out to Gary Jones (870) 273-3888 and get the Club ID number. Once you have that, follow the link and do the registration with the ID number. Once you have finished, you will be able to see available courts up to a week in advance and reserve them online. There are some restrictions. You may only reserve one court per day, and for a maximum of 1.5 hours. If you want to reserve multiple courts for team matches, or multiple courts in a day, or further out than a week, you will need to get Gary to help you with that. Call Gary is you have any questions!
