City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk's Office is the formal office of record for all City documents, contracts, and agreements. The City Clerk records and maintains all ordinances, resolutions, and minutes for the City The City Clerk is an elected position for a term of four years. 

City Council Meetings

The City Clerk's Office prepares the agenda and all background information for issues to be considered by Council Members at the monthly City Council meeting. We notify the media of meeting dates and times for Boards, Commissions, Committees, and Council meetings. The City Clerk participates in the City Council meetings and prepares minutes of each meeting. The minutes of City Council meetings, as well as any ordinances or resolutions passed by the Council, can be found on our website.


Meet the City Clerk

Charlotte Watson was elected as the City Clerk of Sherwood in November 2022 and began her service on January 1, 2023.

Memberships

She has served as the Oakbrooke Elementary PTO treasurer from 2015-2017 and the President from 2018-2019.  Charlotte was the President of the Sylvan Hills Middle School PTA during the 2022-2023 school year. Currently she serves as a member of the Sherwood Education Foundation.

Education and Professional Accomplishments

Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Arkansas.  She worked for five years with Ernst & Young LLP and earned her Certified Public Accountant license.  She currently works as the Office Manager for a local concrete contractor.

 Personal Life

Charlotte and her husband, Larry, have been married since 1998. They moved to Sherwood in January 2002 and are the proud parents of two boys and two girls.  The Watsons are active members of Faith Baptist Church since 2000, where Charlotte volunteers her time working with the youth group and teaching in the children’s department.
